Being able to help others with computer problems they were facing as well as achieving very good marks in my first three tutor marked assignments. A friend of mine wanted to upgrade his PC to a duo core processor. He bought a new motherboard/processor package and a 1MB graphics card. Thanks to what I've learned from the first few sections of the course I was able to install his new motherboard/processor and correctly connect all the power/signal lines on both the motherboard and then the graphics card. I then helped him install windows Vista. His PC is working brilliantly (his words) and I'm pleased that only a few weeks into the course it's having an impact already. I HAVE MANAGED TO CONTINUE WITH MY STUDIES EVEN THOUGH I AM WORKING 12 HOUR NIGHTS SIX AND SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, TO COVER FOR LOSS OF INCOME WHILST MY WIFE IS ON MATERNITY LEAVE WITH OUR THIRD CHILD. WHEN I STARTED THE COURSE I NEW VERY LITTLE ABOUT COMPUTERS, BUT I HAVE MANAGED TO INSTALL A DVD RE-WRITER IN MY FATHER INLAWS PC AND I HAVE UPGRADED THE MEMORY ON A FRIENDS PC. I have recently (start of March) changed my role at work (Personal Injury Lawyers) from mainly a PA/secretarial role to doing ALL of the invoicing (not the best time to start just at Financial Year End!!). I have also taken on ALL of the spreadsheet analysis work for the whole Firm, and, if there is anything involving spreadsheets at all, the senior Partner has requested I take that over too. In spite of all the extra work (on average, an extra 2 hours per day), I have maintained, if not improved, my work study programme and achieved excellent results in all my recent TMA submissions! I must be doing something right at last as I have just completed the TMA 10 for part A of the N+ course I'm a kitchen assistant who have no or little idear of pc. when I started this course no one arround me thought I will be able to cope with the job of kitchen veary hard and stressful with family problem, still I'm able to seat everyday to read my course book. the greatest part of all is that I am building a pc now, I now know much about pc, infact I'm building one pc at home at momment though I have't finish it because of lack of fund. I'm really happy with my course and school I hope to get a job with it when I finish. This genuine course helps me to know a lot things about IT ,N+ etc... I have resumed my studies in mid February after a few months break. At that time I was doing the old version of N+. My tutors informed me of new course, so with their consultation I opted the latest version of N+. I was having very busy time at work cause I work in Supermarket and Easter is coming out but I still tried to study. Other thing is that I know a lot of things written. I gained this knoledge by experence now I can see it from other site filled with more details. My goal is to take this exam in June and rock it. Not tooo much time but pressure is giving me extra motivation. As a sufferer of "Depressive Psychosis" I find it very difficult to concentrate on learning. With thoughts of harming myself and others going through my head, I can get very distracted. It is, therefore, very impressive that I am maintaining an average of one work unit completed per week, with no scores below 90% so far. Most of my assignments have yielded 100% top marks, and my median average is also 100%, which I am very proud to have acheived. Getting a 94% for my first TMA, for me that is an achievement that surpassed my expectation. I therefore put this as a goal to always achieve or more so improve on. Since I have started the course I have acheived results beyond what I thought I could. I restarted the course when I sent for the undated version which I find is more in depth and the troubleshouting section is a great help.my TMA scores have ranged from 87% - 100%.All this studying is undertaken while holding down a perminent nightshift job and visiting my children at weekends.since the studying I have been able to help friends family with a variety of pc problems with either hardware or sorfware which I am improving all the time.Hopefully when I have completed some more coursework I will apply for partime jobs to get more experience in this field of further employment I FEEL THAT EVEN WITH MY ILL HEALTH I AM PROGRESSING AT A RATE THAT SUITS ME , ALSO THAT I AM SUPPRISING MYSELF WITH THE RESULTS THAT I HAVE BEEN GETTING , MY FREINDS AND NEIGHBOURS ARE NOW ASKING ME TO HAVE A LOOK AT THEIR COMPUTORS FOR THEM, WHICH I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIX AND INSTALL NEW HARDWARE FOR THEM , WHICH FILLS ME WITH GREAT SATISFACTION Since I started this course I known much more about computers, than when I started I had little idea on how to use email and I also did clait which I did not finish the course but now I can build a computer which I have already started, I have not finish it because I have't got the money for the material. I can install floppy disk drive, hard drive, and the buses with the motherboard and other devices which I bought in secondhand shop. I also spoke with a friend and he said to me he is sure I can sit for A+ Exams with the level I'm at. I have also gain more knowledge on this course on window installation, I'm really happy with the school and the team staff.
