My brain turned to putty shortly after I started doing the Weapon tutorials... The isn't going to be as much code now for a while. I need to work out some ninks in the grenade... and vehicles. So I will be sticking to kismet and matinee.

I'm also trying to learn Flash and Scaleform if anyone else is interested in that.

    ^^

Hey guys, I have been working on a melee weapon script recently. Although the damage doesn't work properly, I have got the mesh in and working (aside from the animations... I seem to have animated it backwards, so it slashes off the screen, nothing a little work won't sort out)

Anyway, I will shortly get a video up for you so you can have that. but for now you will have to make do with a screeny of the sword in PIE (See above)

Hey guys, I'm thinking of doing some tutorials on making custom menus and HUDs using Scaleform, but before I do You will NEED some version of Adobe Flash CS3+ Which is quite a bit. Although you don't have to buy it, you can use the 30 day trial.

With that in mind how many of you would like me to do these tutorials?

    Cheers

Great work on the tutorials Excalibur - I've had a quick skim through them and they are looking really good. I'm messing about with Unity at the moment, but want to start looking at the UDK, so will definitely be going through these tutorials in the new year.

You could always use C#, which I find a lot easier as my Java isn't the best either.

lol, my C# isn't that good either, but its closer to unrealScript than java so I might stand a bit of a chance.

I find C# easier to read than java, mainly due to having to state exactly what variable type you're declaring. With unity's java you don't have to state the variable type which can lead to trying to assign the wrong type to a variable.
